Tricks
SP4 and Alchemy Web Anonymous User Account
with Integrated Security
Problem:
Anonymous User page (second virtual directory
as defined in Manual) displaying error
message.
Fix:
1. Open Administrative Tools | Local Security
Policy
2. Go to Local Policies, User Rights
Assignment.
3. Double click Impersonate a client after
authentication.
4. Click Add and select AspNet User.
5. Restart IIS.
MailStore for Exchange COM+ Object
Problem:
MailStore for Exchange will not archive emails
if computer is left in the Logged off state or
the user is logged in as another user.
Symptom:
Archive service does not run.
Fix:
Change the identity of the COM+ object by
going to Component Services.
1.Right click the object for MailStore for
Exchange 2000 Event Sink.
2. Go to Properties and click on the
Identity tab. Change the Account from
“Interactive user” to “This user:” and add the
MailStore user account to the window. Click
OK.
3. Restart the service by right clicking the
COM+ object again and clicking “Shut Down”,
then right click again and click the Start
option.
Version 7.4
Alchemy License Manager
Here is the new look alchemy license manager
that comes with version 7.4 server.
Asides from containing entries for all of the
new software, it allows registration of more
than one product at one time.
In this first screen shot, it shows where an
administrator can select which licenses get
loaded into the ALM so as there are no
redundant licenses that have to be loaded.
This next window shows all of the licenses
that have been loaded and their status.
It is in this screen where an administrator
can select items from the product list and
enter their corresponding serial numbers in
the serial number field and apply for the
licenses simultaneously.
